1. Data We Collect
Depending on how you use the app, we may process the following data:
- Account and identity data: Firebase Authentication UID, email address (if provided by your sign-in method), display name (if provided), username, avatar selection, and internal user ID.
- Profile and learning data: selected language, language level, completed quizzes, completed stories/dialogs/grammar units, paragraph progress, challenge progress, certificate progress, scores, coins, rewards, and other in-app learning progress.
- Multiplayer and ranking data: username, avatar, score, and match results shown to other players in online matches, leaderboards, and challenge rankings.
- Purchase and subscription data: subscription status, entitlement status, package/product identifiers, purchase history metadata, and store transaction related information received from our payment and subscription providers.
- Advertising and consent data: ad-related consent status, privacy choices, and whether ads may be requested on your device.
- Analytics, crash, and diagnostics data: app interaction events, screen views, device identifiers assigned by analytics providers, crash logs, technical diagnostics, and error reports.
- Device and connection data: IP address, request timestamps, technical logs, and limited device/app information necessary for service security, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting.
- User content and input data: text you submit in app features such as word search, AI-assisted features, answers you provide, and similar content inputs.
- Essay data: selected topic, original essay, corrected version, grammar assessments, feedback, score, suggested-word usage, and the date the essay was created. We store these results in your account so you can see them again in your essay history. Speech-to-text features may place words recognized on your device into the essay field. Lexgira does not intentionally store the raw microphone recording on its servers.
2. How We Use Data
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- To provide learning content, quizzes, and personalized progress.
- To manage coins, rewards, scores, subscriptions, and purchases.
- To support online multiplayer matches, rankings, and match results.
- To display ads where applicable and manage privacy choices.
- To measure product usage, app performance, and service quality through analytics and diagnostics.
- To detect abuse, secure the service, and prevent fraud.
- To comply with legal obligations and handle user rights requests.
- To analyze essays, story summaries, and other text you choose to submit, provide corrections and learning feedback, and keep the result in your account so you can review it later.
3. Advertising, Analytics, and Consent
Lexgira may show advertising to non-premium users. Depending on the active advertising provider, we use Google Mobile Ads / AdMob or Yandex Mobile Ads. We use privacy messaging tools to determine whether ads may be requested and whether consent is required under applicable laws.
Where required, we request user consent before requesting personalized or non-personalized advertising. We may also apply consent settings to analytics and advertising-related processing.
If you are located in a jurisdiction that requires consent for certain analytics, advertising, or device storage operations, these activities may be limited until the necessary consent has been obtained.
4. Third-Party Services We Use
We may use the following third-party providers:
- Firebase Authentication: account authentication and sign-in with Google, Apple, or anonymous login flows.
- Firebase Analytics: app analytics, event measurement, and product usage insights.
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash reporting and diagnostics.
- Google Mobile Ads / AdMob and User Messaging Platform (UMP): advertising, privacy messaging, and consent handling.
- Yandex Mobile Ads: non-personalized advertising and ad delivery when Yandex is selected as the active advertising provider.
- RevenueCat: subscription management, entitlement handling, and customer purchase state synchronization.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): cloud hosting, databases, backups, and storage and delivery of media/content files.
- OpenAI: AI-assisted content generation and processing. When you submit an essay, story summary, or another AI-assisted text, the text and the minimum instructional context needed to produce feedback may be sent to OpenAI. OpenAI processes that content to return corrections, feedback, and related learning results. We do not intentionally include your email address, Firebase UID, or Lexgira user ID in that AI request.
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store: payment, billing, and subscription processing.
Before an essay, story summary, or other user-written text is shared with OpenAI, Lexgira presents an in-app disclosure and asks for your explicit permission. We keep a versioned record of that choice in your account. You can withdraw permission at any time from Settings > AI Text Processing. Withdrawing permission prevents new text from being sent to OpenAI; it does not automatically delete earlier writing or feedback. You can use available content-deletion controls, delete your account, or contact us with a deletion request.
These third parties may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms.
Please do not include health information, financial details, government identifiers, passwords, or other sensitive personal information in essays, summaries, or AI prompts.
5. Sharing of Data
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share data only as needed:
- With service providers that operate parts of the app on our behalf.
- With payment, analytics, crash reporting, consent, advertising, and authentication providers described above.
- With other users only where the product requires it, such as showing usernames, avatars, and scores in online matches, rankings, and leaderboards.
- When required by law, court order, or legal process.
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Lexgira, and third parties.
6. Legal Bases
Depending on your jurisdiction, we may process personal data based on one or more of the following legal grounds:
- Performance of a contract or provision of the service you request.
- Compliance with legal obligations.
- Our legitimate interests, where permitted by law.
- Your consent or explicit permission, where required for third-party AI text processing, advertising, analytics, or similar processing.
7. Data Retention
We keep account and service data for as long as your account remains active or as long as necessary to provide the service and comply with legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and security obligations.
When you request account deletion, your account data is deleted or anonymized from active systems promptly. This includes your stored essays, corrected versions, AI feedback, scores, and essay usage records, unless retention is required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Residual copies may remain temporarily in backup systems until those backups expire under the applicable secure backup lifecycle.
You can also delete an individual essay from its list in the app. Deleting it removes the stored essay text and AI feedback from our active database. A limited usage record may be retained without the deleted writing text where needed to enforce free or daily feature limits.
8. International Transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. This includes AI processing by OpenAI and cloud services supplied by AWS and Google/Firebase. Where required, we rely on contractual safeguards, data processing agreements, standard contractual clauses, or another legally recognized transfer mechanism.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
Lexgira is not intended for children under 13 unless otherwise permitted by applicable law with appropriate parental or guardian authorization. If we become aware that we have processed personal data of a child in violation of applicable law, we will take steps to delete that data.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, and information about how your data is processed. Permission for future AI text processing can also be withdrawn from Settings > AI Text Processing.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be made available in the app and/or through our service. Changes take effect from the date shown above.
13. Contact and Data Controller
Lexgira / Gokksoft acts as the data controller for the processing described in this policy. For privacy questions or to exercise your data protection rights, contact gokhanklc1996@gmail.com. You may also use the account deletion and content deletion controls in the app.
14. Türkiye (KVKK) Notice
Türkiye'deki kullanıcılar bakımından kompozisyon ve hikâye özeti metinleri; uygulamanın yapay zekâ destekli düzeltme ve değerlendirme hizmetini sunmak, kompozisyonunuzu ve değerlendirme sonucunu geçmişinizde yeniden göstermek ve hizmet güvenliğini sağlamak amaçlarıyla işlenebilir. Gönderdiğiniz metin; dil bilgisi, yazım ve anlatım değerlendirmesi yapılması için OpenAI gibi yurt dışında bulunan hizmet sağlayıcılara aktarılabilir. Kompozisyon metni, düzeltilmiş hâli, geri bildirim ve puan hesabınızla bağlantılı olarak Lexgira veritabanında saklanır. Bu aktarım öncesinde uygulama içinde bilgilendirme yapılır ve açık izniniz istenir. İzin tercihiniz sürümlü olarak hesabınızda saklanır ve Ayarlar > Yapay zekâ ile metin işleme bölümünden ileriye etkili olarak geri çekilebilir. Hesabınızı sildiğinizde kompozisyon kayıtlarınız aktif veritabanından da silinir. Kompozisyon listesindeki silme seçeneğini kullanarak tek bir kompozisyonu ayrıca silebilirsiniz. Metin alanlarına özel nitelikli veya hassas kişisel veri yazmamanızı öneririz. KVKK kapsamındaki erişim, düzeltme, silme ve diğer talepleriniz için yukarıdaki iletişim adresini kullanabilirsiniz.
